I broke my toe...and I did it by practicing a hand stand. No really. The 2nd biggest toe is broken all the way through. I just finished an excellent workout -- practicing with knives, a spear and all that good stuff I am actually trained to do -- and of course I was utterly safe. But recently I began training to do a handstand because well...it looks fun, but I failed to recognize "coming down from a handstand" as a dangerous thing and hit a 1-inch ledge on my concrete wall. (Sigh)My toe was actually bent off to one side, and I thought it was the joint so I put it back into place...but it went back off to the side again...how odd. It turned out to be two parts of my toe that I was putting back into place. Yuck.
So, in 3 hours I am going back to get a pin put into my toe. Been in bike wrecks never broke a bone but yet I break my toe on the wall. Wtf.
Update: I am back and in the kind of pain you feel when a couple doctors put 2 steel pins into your broken toe. 2 hours have gone by and the drugs have not kicked in much yet, so I am writing to keep my mind busy. Yarg.
